The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Somaliland, Hon. Adan Haji Ali Ahmed, administered the oath to the Members of the National Human Rights Commission in the presence of H.E. Musa Bihi Abdi, President of the Republic of Somaliland. The swearing-in ceremony took place at the presidential Palace and followed the procedures outlined in the Constitution.
The new members of the National Human Rights Commission will play a vital role in promoting and protecting human rights in Somaliland. The Commission is an independent body that is responsible for investigating and reporting on human rights abuses, as well as providing education and awareness-raising on human rights issues.
Following the swearing-in ceremony, Chief Justice Adan Haji Ali Ahmed graciously prayed for the success of the newly appointed members of the National Human Rights Commission. He emphasized the importance of carrying out their duties with utmost efficiency and providing a commendable and fair service to their community.
Finally, President Bihi addressed the newly elected members of the National Human Rights Commission, extending his warm congratulations and providing them with valuable guidance. He emphasized the immense responsibility and composure required to effectively fulfill their duties.
