The President of the Republic of Somaliland, His Excellency Muse Bihi Abdi, officially inaugurated the second conference of the National Economic Forum today in Hargeisa. This conference aims to address the economic challenges in the country and has attracted economic experts, diplomats, and other guests from different parts of the country to discuss and analyze ways to improve the economy.
Speaking on behalf of the organizing committee, Barkhad Hassan Abib provided an in-depth overview of the conference’s agenda, emphasizing the consideration and implementation of expert recommendations.
During his speech, Mr. Ahmed Aden Buxane, the Minister of Planning and National Development, highlighted key topics to be discussed at the conference, with a special focus on issues related to the country’s production.
Dr. Saad Ali Shire, the Minister of Finance Development, also emphasized the importance of utilizing the conference to extract maximum benefit for the national economy and overcome economic challenges.
President Bihi commended the conference as a platform for analyzing the country’s economy, expressing his expectation that it would yield results beneficial to society. He emphasized the importance of national unity and defending the Republic of Somaliland against its enemies, pointing out that the country’s secure borders are recognized by African countries.
The President also issued a warning to the Puntland administration, which has displayed aggression at the eastern borders of Somaliland. He firmly stated his opposition to the administration’s desire to divide Somaliland and take its land.
Expressing gratitude for the unwavering support of the people of Somaliland, the president praised the national forces defending the country for their selflessness and sacrifice in protecting their nation and its people.
Finally, the president inaugurated a business rally held at the same venue, where various businessmen and government agencies showcased their services and products to the community.
