Presidential Decree: Appointment of New Regional Governors and Deputy Governors

H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Cirro), the President of the Republic of Somaliland, has today, issued Presidential Decree No. JSL/XM/WM/222-027/012025, appointing Governors and Deputy Governors for the regions of the Republic of Somaliland.

The decree is as follows:

In accordance with:

– Article 90 of the Constitution of the Republic of Somaliland;

– The qualifications, competence, and experience of the appointees;

– The critical role of Governors in serving the citizens of the Republic of Somaliland and contributing to national development;

– My confidence in their ability to fulfill the responsibilities of their respective roles;

– Consultations held,

I hereby decree:

Effective immediately, the following individuals are appointed to the respective positions:

  1. Prof. Ahmed Mohamed Adad – Governor of Maroodi-jeex Region
  2. Wali Abdi Jama Kheyrre – Deputy Governor of Maroodi-jeex Region
  3. Muhummad Hassan Jama (Xoday) – Governor of Awdal Region
  4. Dahir Ahmed Jama Buraale – Deputy Governor of Awdal Region
  5. Mohamed Dahir Abdalla Gaafane – Governor of Saaxil Region
  6. Mahmoud Ali Saleeban (Ramaax) – Governor of Togdheer Region
  7. Siciid Ahmed Mohamed Raage – Deputy Governor of Togdheer Region
  8. Ahmed Farah Osman Abdi – Governor of Sool Region
  9. Naaleeye Ahmed Jama Liibaan – Deputy Governor of Sool Region
  10. Salah Yusuf Diriye Guuleed – Deputy Governor of Sanaag Region
  11. Mohamed Abdillahi Jama (Bookh) – Governor of Gebiley Region
  12. Abdirisaq Ahmed Mohamed (Huuno) – Deputy Governor of Gebiley Region
  13. Prof. Ahmed Abdillahi Mohamed (Dhegayare) – Governor of Saraar Region
  14. Mahmoud Warsame Geeddi (Hilbayare) – Deputy Governor of Saraar Region
  15. Abdi Siciid Faahiye Allaale – Governor of Salal Region
  16. Osman Omar Nur Aare – Deputy Governor of Salal Region
  17. Abdisalan Mohamed Hassan Mohamed – Governor of Badhan Region
  18. Ali Mohamed Ahmed Cadami – Deputy Governor of Badhan Region
  19. Mahmoud Hassan Saleeban (Doob) – Governor of Hawd Region
  20. Ayanle Mahmoud Raage Qaalib – Deputy Governor of Hawd Region
  21. Fu’ad Abdi Diiriye Mohamed – Governor of Xaysimo Region
  22. Mohamed Dayib Yusuf Aden – Deputy Governor of Daadmadheedh Region
  23. Mustafe Ibrahim Ahmed Farah – Governor of Buuhoodle Region
