Somaliland: Chief Justice Swears in New Gov’t Officials.

The Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Somaliland, Adan Haji Ali Ahmed today sworn in before the President of Somaliland, H.E. Muse Bihi Abdi, various officials including ministers, deputy ministers and heads of independent institutions.

At the swearing in ceremony at the Presidential Palace, the Chief Justice swore in a number of officials previously appointed by the President, who had recently completed their duties in the House of Representatives.

After the ceremony, President Bihi addressed the sworn in members and prayed for God’s protection in their national responsibilities, expressing his confidence in them. In his remarks, the President said, “You have fulfilled your previous responsibilities admirably. May God bless you and watch over you in your new responsibilities.”

The sworn in officials are the Ministers of Water Development, Agriculture, Minerals and Energy, Religion and Endowments, Rural, Deputy Ministers of Finance, Information, Home Affairs, Security, Water Development, Education and Science, along with the Governors of the Central Bank, the Public Service Commission, the National Procurement Committee, the Deputy Chairman of the Public Service Commission and the Vice-Chairman of the Good Governance Commission.
