The President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Muse Bihi Abdi, received Mohamed Mukhtar Jama Farah (Sir Mo Farah) along with Abdi Adan Nageye, long distance runners for the UK and Netherlands, at the Presidential Complex.
The President welcomed Sir Mo Farah to his homeland, who brought with him some of his colleagues, first and foremost Abdi Aden Nageye, another well-known Dutch sprinter who came to the Republic of Somaliland on holiday. The Purpose of the meeting was to acknowledge and celebrate these extraordinary athletes along with some encouragement from the President, urging them to continue their efforts and set a good example for future generations. The President presented the athletes with awards and thanked them for the reputation they have brought to Somali speakers wherever they are, especially the people of Somaliland where Mo Farah hails from.
