The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Somaliland, Adam Haji Ali Ahmed, today sworn in before the President the four members of the Committee for the Registration of Associations and Political Parties, which was recently approved by the House of Representatives.
The Chief Justice handed over the Qur’an to the committee members one by one as they swore to uphold the duties they’ve been given to the best of their abilities.
His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Somaliland, Musa Abdi, addressed the sworn members at the ceremony and instructed them to fulfill their duties with the utmost respect and to always be fair. The President added, “The upcoming elections will be a burden on us all, and I pray to Allah to make it easier for you to do the extensive work ahead of you.”
The swearing-in ceremony was held at the Presidential complex and was attended by the Vice President of Somaliland, Hon. Abdirahman Abdullahi Ismail (Saylici).
